A conquista de Saipan e Tinian estaria a cargo do V Corpo Anfíbio, Guam ficou a cargo do III Corpo Anfíbio. A defesa estava a cargo do 31º Exército japonês. A 15/06/44, iniciou-se a invasão de Saipan, concluída a 09/07/44; Guam foi invadida a 21/07/44, cessando a luta organizada aí a 10/08/44; Tinian, por sua vez, foi atacada a 24/07/44, cessando a luta a 01/08/44. Tente recriar a história e divirta-se.

The conquest of the Mariana Islands by American forces was code-named “Operation Forager” and was dictated by their proximity to the Philippine Islands, their airfields (from which B-29 bombers could reach Japan itself) and the American strategy of “skipping” the Pacific islands. The conquest of Saipan and Tinian would be the responsibility of the V Amphibious Corps, Guam was the responsibility of the III Amphibious Corps. The defense was the responsibility of the Japanese 31st Army. The invasion of Saipan began on 15/06/44, and was completed on 09/07/44; Guam was invaded on 21/07/44, and organized fighting there ceased on 10/08/44; Tinian, in turn, was attacked on 24/07/44, and fighting ceased on 01/08/44. Try to recreate history and have fun.
