In 1.0.1, when playing tactic chits, you would change the tactics either in the marker window or in your hand. You would then flip (C-F) the chit and put it on the board. You may also flip it first and then adjust the tactics (if you remember the sequence in which they occur); either way, you place face down chit on the board. The other player would then flip it over when resolving the combat.
