This is a basic implementation of BattleTech: Alpha Strike - Commander's Edition miniatures game. There is no automation nor A.I. in this module. You play it the way you play a tabletop game. Any player can move any unit on the map. You have to compute everything, hex movement, target number, range, etc. There is a Line-of-sight tool that will help you determine target range and visibility. It is up to you to decide whether the target is partially covered or behind a blocking terrain.
There are four sets of playing pieces, each with its own color. Thus, you can have 4 players. Each unit has a H.U.D (Heads Up Display) that shows its game stats and current condition in the game. With keyboard controls, you can modify the unit's Heat level, Armor and Structure damage, and Critical Hits. The module allows the unit to face 12 points, the 6 flat sides of the hex, plus the 6 corners.
A few counters are also provided to mark movements done by the unit. There is also a built-in 2d6 and 1d6 dice.
There is currently 29 mechs to choose from and 3 maps. Most of the units included are from the Starter Box sets. We hope to populate the module with more mechs and maps in the future.
