Commercial game created by Dr. Rex Brynen, and this module was created with Dr. Brynen's approval.

"AFTERSHOCK: A Humanitarian Crisis Game explores the interagency cooperation needed to address a complex humanitarian crisis. Although designed for four players, it can be played with fewer (even solitaire) or more (with players grouped into four teams). The game is set in the fictional country of Carana, but is loosely modeled on disasters such as the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami and the 2010 Haiti earthquake."

"Facilitator Only" version has ONLY the facilitator as the authorized "player", with all others connected "observers" only, and all the pieces in a "starting" position. This allows for a "curated" version of the game, where only the facilitator moves anything on the board and the observers give direction on what they want to do. This allows for a faster moderated game experience when used in a DL classroom environment. CAUTION* This version requires an Aftershock "expert" to facilitate!

This module was created by Curt Pangracs, Directorate of Simulation Education (DSE), Army University, US Department of Defense, and has been cleared for general release.
