The Sengoku Jidai was a period in Japanese history from the 15th to 17th centuries when the country was embroiled in constant civil war and eventually unified under the Tokugawa Shogunate. Guns, advanced cavalry tactics, and the peak of Japanese military technology for centuries were major developments in this time.
