Vassal specific rules:
Gadgets and Gizmos in your hand can be moved around and organized to form a square. Once you have the square shape you can increase and decrease to get the desired block and then "Hide" the block. Once the block is masked you can drag it onto the board and line it up with your black box. Then reveal all the cubes at the same time and return the X's back to your hand once everyone has seen what was played.
This allows no one to cheat the system by switching their vote at the last second. You can even have one player designated as the revealer and that player can highlight all of the gadgets and gizmos in order to flip at the same time.
You have to do the innovation rounds separately in vassal. This means you either choose gadgets or gizmos and reveal them the same way you revealed during the invention round.
You can place player markers on the side and bottom of the board to remember rows and columns.
GADGET = BLACK = ROW
GIZMO = WHITE = COLUMN
Roll the dice button 5 times with no chat interruption and you can visually see what the field will look like in the chat window. You can use this as easy reference when placing point tokens.
